Another fine example of an experimental whisky. Created by Graham Coull, the master distiller at Glen Moray. This fruity single malt was first ages in American oak ex Bourbon barrels, it was then transferred into ex Glen Moray casks that had been sent to Dunbar to age Thirstily Cross Scottish Cider for several months. With only 2000 bottles made, this is one you’d want to get your hands on!
On the nose expect an array of sweetness, toffee apples, sweet popcorn and vanilla, very tempting indeed! The palate is very smooth, as you would expect a nice but not overwhelming dose of apple mixed into some oats, vanilla and winter fruits. The finish is smooth and sweet, creamy fudge combines with some lightly spiced apples. Truly delightful stuff.
